S.C.D.A.R. ROOM (1st floor)

The S.C.D.A.R. Room is elegantly furnished with colonial green Windsor chairs and settees, as well as a beautifully crafted 10-foot pine table. The walls are a soft Blue Heron Gray (same color as in the Great Hall) with woodwork and trim painted white. The floors are dark heart-of-pine. Three large Palladian-style windows allow lots of extra light into the historic space.

The S.C.D.A.R. Room is located on the first floor of the Old Exchange. It measures 26’ x 45’ and can accommodate up to 100 people for a light reception. The caterer’s kitchen on the second floor is easily accessed by elevator. Because the historic collections on display in the S.C.D.A.R. Room are fragile, dinners, banquets and dancing are not allowed, but we do allow light hors d'oeuvres and beverages to be served. If your event is geared more toward a banquet, dinner and/or dancing-type event, we recommend you choose the 3-Room package that includes the Great Hall.
